Heidenheim in the east of the Swabian Jura is where Voith GmbH has its roots. Five employees worked for the Heidenheim-born Johann Matthäus Voith, when he took over his father’s locksmith shop in 1825. Today, our company is a globally active Group with a workforce of approximately 40,000 people.
With a staff of approximately 4,500 at the location Heidenheim, Voith is the town’s largest employer. Flexible working hours, social facilities such as our company kindergarten “Kindervilla”, a sauna and a swimming bath for employees as well as our staff restaurant characterize the attractiveness of this Voith location and its many traditions.
Voith GmbH covers four Group Divisions, all of which are represented in Heidenheim: Voith Paper, Voith Turbo, Voith Hydro and Voith Industrial Services. The Group Holding with its Central Divisions is also located in Heidenheim.
